Who this policy describes
In this policy, Sleep Manager, we, and the site operator mean the operator of the website at sleepmanager.in, published under the Sleep Manager name. The public site does not currently publish a separate corporate legal name, postal address, hospital, clinic, or professional organization as its owner.
Questions about this policy or information in an email you sent can be directed to connectwithus@sleepmanager.in. This policy covers the public site. External websites, email providers, browsers, hosting services, and Google services have their own responsibilities and policies.
What the current site does with information
| Activity | What is involved | Current behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Use a calculator, quiz, checklist, search, or finder | Answers, times, selections, search words, and generated result | Browser only Held in page memory for the current use; not written to a Sleep Manager result database. |
| Remember site preferences | Analytics choice and article-library grid/list choice | Local storage Saved on the device until cleared or overwritten. |
| Request a page or asset | IP address, requested URL/file, date/time, browser/network headers, and referrer when supplied | Infrastructure Received by hosting and delivery systems to return and protect the site. |
| Load Google Fonts | Request for font CSS/files plus ordinary connection data | Third party Many pages contact Google Fonts when they render. |
| Allow optional audience measurement | Page path and title, coarse approved actions, and ordinary Analytics device/session information | Permission required The Google Analytics tag is blocked until you allow it. Tool inputs, answers, scores, results, searches, and free text are excluded from custom events. |
| Open the homepage | Google AdSense publisher tag and ordinary request data; cookies or similar storage can depend on Google settings | Advertising code The tag loads independently of the separate Analytics choice. |
| Share, copy, or open an external link | Usually the public page title/URL, plus data the destination receives from the connection | User initiated Happens only after you choose the link or share control. |
| Email the site | Your address, subject, message, attachments, and email headers | Correspondence Processed by your email provider and the receiving mail service. |
Tool inputs stay in the page; only simple preferences persist
The current calculators, quizzes, checklist, problem finder, glossary search, and myths/facts search run in the browser. Their answers and results are not added to a user profile because the site has no accounts. They are not intentionally placed in shared page URLs. Reloading or leaving a tool generally clears its current state.
The current source uses local storage for these two non-account preferences:
| Key | Value and purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
sm_analytics_consent | Stores granted or denied after you choose whether the site may load Google Analytics. | Until site data is cleared or you change the choice in Analytics Settings. |
sm_blog_view | Stores the selected article-library layout, such as grid or list, for a later visit. | Until site data is cleared or another layout is chosen. |
Older banner values are handled cautiously
A legacy sm_cookie_consent value of declined is preserved as an Analytics refusal. A legacy accepted value is not treated as informed Analytics permission. The old key is removed after a current choice is recorded.
Hosting, Google Fonts, optional Analytics, and AdSense
Hosting and delivery requests
A website cannot send a page without receiving a network request. Hosting and delivery infrastructure may process an IP address, requested path, time, browser/device and network headers, error information, and referring URL when the browser supplies it. These data can be used to deliver files, maintain security, diagnose failures, and protect availability. The public repository does not identify the hosting provider or a fixed log-retention period, so this policy does not invent one.
Google Fonts
Many pages request the Outfit and Inter font files from Google Fonts. The browser connects to Google to obtain the stylesheet and font resources, which exposes ordinary connection information such as the request and IP address to that provider. Blocking the request should leave system-font fallbacks, although the page appearance may change.
Google Analytics: optional and blocked until permission
Every public page loads Sleep Manager's local Analytics control, but that control does not request Google's gtag.js library, configure the GA property, or send Analytics events until sm_analytics_consent is granted. Measurement is also restricted to the production host, so allowing it on a local preview does not send data to the production property.
After permission, Analytics receives a page view with the page title and path. Sleep Manager removes query strings, fragments, and the referring page from the page fields it supplies. Approved custom events use short page or tool identifiers and coarse actions such as a tool start, tool completion, article depth milestone, contents link, related-page link, FAQ toggle, or methodology link. The event guard rejects an unknown event, a missing or extra parameter, or a value outside its restricted token format.
Sleep Manager does not send tool answers, exact sleep or caffeine times, travel details, scores, symptom selections, glossary or site searches, partner responses, generated result values, email addresses, or free text in its custom Analytics events. Google Analytics can still process ordinary measurement information after permission, such as device/browser details, session information, and approximate location derived by Google. Account-side settings such as enhanced measurement, data retention, product links, and data sharing must also remain under operator review.
When Analytics is allowed, Google may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_MHKPYQRKLN. Sleep Manager configures a maximum age of 395 days and does not refresh that configured age on later visits; browsers or Google may shorten it. Google signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled in this Analytics configuration.
Google AdSense: homepage publisher code
The homepage loads a Google AdSense script containing Sleep Manager's publisher identifier. The visible manual ad containers are commented out in the reviewed file, but Google account-side settings such as Auto ads are not visible in the repository. Google states that an ad tag can call its servers and may send cookies even when a page does not visibly show an ad.
Google can receive the page URL, IP address, browser/device information, ad interactions, and cookies or similar identifiers depending on ad settings, region, user choice, and Google policy. It may use information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and abuse, limit frequency, and personalize ads where permitted. Sleep Manager does not control Google's separate retention or account-level settings.
Advertising remains a separate consent responsibility
The sitewide Analytics choice gates Analytics only. It does not load, block, configure, or revoke the homepage AdSense tag. Where prior consent or a regulated privacy message is required for advertising, the site operator must separately configure and test an appropriate consent-management solution and Google Privacy & Messaging settings.

Retention, security, and children's privacy
- Tool state
- Held in the active page's memory and generally lost when the page reloads or closes.
- Local preferences
- Remain on the device until cleared, overwritten, or removed by the browser or user.
- Analytics data
- Sent only after Analytics permission and retained under the GA property settings and Google's policies. The account-side retention setting cannot be verified from public page code.
- Hosting and other Google data
- Handled under provider configurations and policies. Sleep Manager does not publish a retention period it cannot verify from the repository.
- May remain as operational correspondence; no automatic deletion schedule is currently published.
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the public site and code maintained, but no website or email system can promise perfect security. Avoid sending information the service does not need.
Some content discusses sleep ranges or safety for children, but the site is designed for adults and caregivers. It does not offer child accounts, social features, or a child-directed submission form, and it does not knowingly request personal information from children. An adult should operate the tools when considering a child.
Your practical privacy choices
- Open Analytics Settings in the footer to allow or refuse future Analytics measurement. Refusing stops future Analytics calls and makes a best-effort attempt to remove the first-party GA cookies named above. It cannot delete data already sent.
- Clear Sleep Manager site data in your browser to remove the two local-storage preferences and any first-party cookies stored for this site.
- Block or limit third-party cookies and content using browser privacy settings or a trusted content blocker. Some fonts, ads, or sharing destinations may not work or may look different.
- Manage Google advertising choices in My Ad Center and read Google's partner-site explanation.
- Do not use a share or email control if you do not want the selected application or provider to process that action.
- Ask about identifiable correspondence by emailing connectwithus@sleepmanager.in. Describe the message or issue without sending extra sensitive data. Requests may require reasonable verification and can be limited by security, operational, or legal obligations.
The exact legal rights available to a person depend on location and circumstances. This page provides an operational contact route without claiming a right or exemption that has not been assessed for a particular jurisdiction.
Changes, review triggers, and contact
The date changes only after a substantive review. This policy must be checked before changing Analytics events or parameters, enabling additional automatic measurement, adding cookies or local storage, introducing a form or account, changing advertising or consent behavior, embedding a new third-party service, persisting tool results, or changing the public operator/contact facts.
